Emizon 21 launches new Grade 2 & Grade 3 communication packages
Over 80% of dsc security customers only take the decision to purchase an Intruder Alarm AFTER a break in.
This may be an astonishingly
high proportion but unfortunately true.
It is easy to enjoy the benefits from buying a nice new TV, DVD player, Computer, etc. but not as easy to see the benefits of buying an Alarm System that doesn't give you any tangible pleasure or satisfaction.
More and more properties than ever before have Intruder Alarms fitted because the consumer society we are in, means that householders have more valuables to protect like your TV, DVD player, Computer, Car etc. which are all items on the burglars shopping list as well! Locks are not necessarily enough to keep out the opportunist burglar who is after anything to steal that can be sold easily for cash.
When you buy a dsc security alarm system you buy PEACE OF MIND that your property and valuables are being protected when you are not there.
Intruder Alarms - The First Step
You have already taken the
initial step by looking at the dsc security website
to find out more information about Intruder Alarms. The next step
is
to contact us by
e-mail
or phone to arrange a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL visit from one of our
surveyors to find out what level of security you require. If you
aren't sure what you want, we will go through all the available
advice and options with you so you can choose a system to suit your
needs. This will all be put into a written specification, which you
should receive within 3 working days from our survey.
Once you've decided that you would like dsc security to install your alarm, all you need to do is contact us to arrange a mutually convenient date to carry out the installation. This will generally be possible within 7-10 days time, and depending on our workload in many instances we can give you an earlier date if necessary.
We require your signature on a copy of the specification so that we know what you are expecting from us, and a deposit to secure the installation date. You can then sit back, allow us to install your Alarm which will take 1-2 days for the average sized property, the engineers will go through the basics of how to use the alarm with you, collect the balance payment and leave you to enjoy the protection of a DSC Alarm..... nothing more to pay for the first 12 months and NO multi-year contracts you can't get out of without paying huge amounts!
Do you own a desirable car but don't have an alarm system on your house?
There is a growing and concerning amount of cars being stolen in the Thames Valley area by intruders targeting properties without alarms and breaking in to look for car keys to desirable vehicles. With technology on many vehicles now preventing someone without the correct key getting in and successfully driving away, the criminals are resorting to this method of obtaining keys. Obviously if the car is on the drive then there is a high probability that the driver and family are in the house, so many of these incidents take place at night with the householders asleep upstairs and without an alarm set at night, would probably not be aware of professional burglars breaking in. If you fall into this category you are at a higher risk than others to intruders breaking in and we would recommend you consult the Crime Reduction Team at your local Police Station for more advice or contact us for a FREE security survey to identify the weak areas of your property, by completing our Enquiry Form.
Intruder Alarms -
Designing Your System
The Control Equipment will consist of a Main Control Panel, which is normally placed in a suitable cupboard (out of the way) and is connected to mains power, a Keypad that will need to be fitted somewhere suitable in the Entrance Hallway, and an external Waning Device to give the audible confirmation of an activation.
There are a variety of detection devices to suit different situations in your home, the most common design favoured by most of dsc security customers is to have a Magnetic Door Contact on your entrance door (to start the entry time when you come in) and Passive Infra-Red (PIR) detectors, which are normally fitted discreetly in the corner of each of the Ground Floor rooms/areas with one on a 1st Floor Landing.
If
you have a flat roof or easy access adjacent to any 1st Floor
windows then you need to consider the risk of NOT having detection
in these areas.
Some of our customers also like to have a Hold-up button to activate the Alarm siren if necessary whether the alarm is set or not.
Other common detection devices include:-
|
will allow pets to roam a protected area without activating the alarm but will pick up humans |
|
fitted in rooms with high value equipment in order to offer a confirmed signal through to the Police by complimenting the use of PIR detectors, or used in areas prone to changes in temperature like garages. |
|
specifically for Roller Shutter doors. |
|
fitted on window or door frames to detect vibrations caused by an attack on the protected surface. These can also be used on walls to prevent an attack of this type. |
|
fitted facing glazed areas and activated by the sound of breaking glass. |
|
activates the alarm if smoke is detected and do not require batteries. |
