Redcare GSM Monitoring

Redcare GSM is a dual path connection to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).  A simple way to describe how this system works,  is to use the analogy of a broadband connection to the Internet, it is always active, linked with a backup radio service.  There are no call charges associated with this type of service.

If the BT landline fails or is cut, the ARC will receive a communication failure message, which will be treated as an unconfirmed activation. The GSM path will continue to communicate with the alarm receiving centre, sending any subsequent alarms as confirmed activations.

BT Redcare GSM is capable of communicating a confirmed activation if either the primary landline or secondary radio path is lost, regardless of which one is lost first.

There are other forms of Dual Path Monitoring Services available such as. Dualcom GPRS or Emizon 21
